This design navigated the strange middle place between a Disney cartoon and a waterlogged cabaret. It was a world of varied textures and vibrant colors, pulled down with age, distress, and dampness. Add to that the vinyl, felt, and glitter of the Neverland drop and the crumpled, chartreuse groundrow, and you have a world where the seediness and wonder of this play can happily coexist.
